Paloma Marquez
Proud Mother of 6
Paloma brings entrepreneurship to Beyond Our Sight. As Founder/Director of Blind Buddies and Creator/Co-Host of The B.L.I.N.D. View, Houston, TX she has developed the key skills for a Host, which are planning, promoting and organizing events. In addition, Paloma has several years of teaching, both on a paid and volunteer, experience. Her eagerness to learn is always on display.
Melissa Reyna
Engineer & Baker
Melissa brings a broad base of experience to Beyond Our Sight ranging from systems engineering consulting to most recently the founder of The Brownie Bowl, a gourmet bakery. Along the way she has worked with Dining In The Dark, volunteered with Texas School for the Blind and as a student been involved with the National Federation of the Blind. It is this broad based experience that makes Melissa a top notch Host.
Mark Castro
Passionately Driven
Mark is a blind individual who has worked for The Houston Chronicle, The Lighthouse of Houston, Paper Chase Transportation, and has obtained a business career certification. His optimistic attitude motivated him to give back to his local community by coaching Little League Baseball for 6 years, winning 1st place title for 3 years in a row while being visually impaired. His strong and determined character continues today by training and competing with a blind row team every year. Mark's perseverance to get tough through any challenges shines through while hosting programs for Beyond Our Sight.
